Overview
20 countries · 3–5 plans each · collected on October 7, 2026 · converted at that day's exchange rates
The same Netflix Standard plan costs $2.89 a month in Pakistan and $19.99 in the United States — a 6.9× difference for the same catalog tier. The US is the most expensive of the 20 countries we checked for Standard, and the UK is the most expensive for Premium ($27.84). The median Standard price across all 20 is $13.75.
We collected every price directly from Netflix's own plans-and-pricing page, opening it from a residential IP address inside each country, so the figures are what a new subscriber in that country actually sees today. Nothing is taken from third-party lists.

What the numbers show
The ad-supported tier is not everywhere. 11 of the 20 countries sell "Standard with ads" (US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada). The other 9 still sell the old Basic plan instead — Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Argentina, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Nigeria — and have no ad tier at all. In Japan and South Korea Basic is closed to new sign-ups but kept for existing members.
The Mobile plan survives in four markets. India (₹149), Pakistan (Rs 250), South Africa (R59) and Nigeria (₦2,500) still have a phone-and-tablet-only plan at 480p. In USD that is $0.90–$3.57 a month, the lowest Netflix prices anywhere.
Extra members are a European and American thing. The option to add a member outside your household is offered in 13 of 20 countries. Turkey, Japan, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Nigeria do not offer it at any tier. Where it exists, the price swings from $4.49 in Italy (€3.99 with ads) to $9.99 in the US.
Europe is not one price. Within the eurozone Standard runs from €13.99 in Italy to €15.99 in Germany and the Netherlands; the ad tier from €6.99 (Germany, Italy) to €8.99 (Spain).
Premium spread is wider than Standard. $3.97 in Pakistan to $27.84 in the UK — 7.0×. The median Premium price is $18.09.

All prices are monthly and before local taxes where Netflix adds them separately. Standard allows one extra member, Premium up to two, where the option exists.
How we collected this
Every row comes from one page: Netflix's own Plans and Pricing help article. That page shows different plans and prices depending on the country your IP address is in, so we requested it 20 times through the Geonode Scraper API, each time exiting from a residential IP inside the target country. The English /en/ version was used throughout so the plan names stay comparable; only the pricing block changes with geography.
Currency conversion uses the USD reference rates published on October 7, 2026 (open.er-api.com). Prices in countries with fast-moving currencies — Argentina, Turkey, Nigeria — will drift in USD terms between our monthly refreshes even if Netflix changes nothing.
We will re-run the collection on the first week of every month and keep each month's snapshot. Changes between snapshots will be listed at the top of this page.

The table above is one tool call per country. If you use Claude, Cursor or any MCP client, add the Geonode endpoint — no account or API key needed to start:
claude mcp add --transport http geonode https://scraper.geonode.io/mcp
Then ask: "Extract https://help.netflix.com/en/node/24926 through a residential proxy in Brazil and return the Pricing section as Markdown." Add an API key to unlock country targeting for all 150+ countries, JavaScript rendering and batch jobs.
FAQ
Which country has the cheapest Netflix?
Pakistan, at Rs 250 ($0.90) for the Mobile plan and Rs 800 ($2.89) for Standard. Nigeria and India are next.
Which country has the most expensive Netflix?
For the Standard plan, the United States at $19.99. For Premium, the United Kingdom at £20.99 ($27.84).
Does Netflix still have a Basic plan?
In 9 of the 20 countries we checked, yes: Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Argentina, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Nigeria sell it to new members; Japan and South Korea keep it for existing members only. In the US, UK, EU ad-tier markets, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and Canada it has been replaced by Standard with ads.
Can I pay the Pakistan price from another country?
Netflix bills in the currency of the country where the account was created and verifies the household location, so in practice no. This page is a price comparison, not a workaround.
Why do you show USD and local prices?
Local prices are what Netflix charges. USD makes the countries comparable. Both are in the table and in the downloadable file.
