Antidetect Browsers: Is It Worth It in 2026?

Antidetect browsers run many isolated browser profiles on one machine, each presenting a different device, so accounts do not appear to share hardware. Comparing them on "profiles included" is the standard approach and it is broken — at least one serious vendor does not price on profile count at all, and its free plan includes a hundred of them. This guide compares the main tools on pricing from their own live pages, explains what actually separates good fingerprinting from bad, and sets out plainly what none of them can do.

An antidetect browser runs many browser profiles on one machine, each with its own cookies, storage and hardware fingerprint, so that the accounts logged into them do not obviously belong to the same person.

The disclaimer that matters most: an antidetect browser plus proxies addresses two signals out of many, and the ones it addresses are not usually the ones that get accounts banned. Device correlation and network correlation are handled well. Behaviour, phone verification, payment matching and platform policy are not touched at all. Anyone selling this category on the promise of safety is overselling it, and there is a section below that is specific about where the protection stops.

The more immediately useful finding is about how these products are compared. Every roundup ranks them by profiles included per month, because that is the number on the pricing page. That comparison is broken. Kameleo's free plan includes 100 cloud profiles — against three to five at its main competitors — because it does not price on profile count at all. It prices on concurrent browsers and minutes of use. Its free tier allows two browsers running at once for 300 minutes.

So "100 profiles" and "5 profiles" are not larger and smaller quantities of the same thing. They are different units, and a table that puts them in one column is producing a ranking that means nothing. Working out which axis your own usage sits on matters more than any feature comparison, and the next two sections are about that.

All pricing below comes from each vendor's own live pricing page at the time of writing, with one exception noted in the table. These change often — verify before buying.

What an Antidetect Browser Actually Does

Two separate mechanisms, and only one of them is difficult.

Isolation

Each profile gets its own cookie jar, local storage, session storage, cache and IndexedDB. Nothing leaks between them. Log into one account in profile A and another in profile B, and neither knows about the other.

This part is genuine, reliable, and not hard. Chrome profiles and Firefox Multi-Account Containers do a perfectly adequate version of it for free, which is worth remembering before paying for anything.

Fingerprint spoofing

This is the part you are actually buying. Every browser leaks a large amount of information about the machine underneath: screen dimensions, operating system, installed fonts, graphics hardware, time zone, language, number of processor cores, available memory, how the browser renders a canvas element, what its audio processing produces.

Combined, those values are stable and varied enough to act as an identifier. Ten accounts opened from one browser share one fingerprint, and a platform that correlates them can reasonably conclude one person controls all ten. Incognito mode does not help — it clears cookies, not hardware characteristics.

An antidetect browser gives each profile a different set of those values.

Why Doing It Well Is Hard

Producing different values is trivial. Producing a coherent set is not.

Real machines have correlated characteristics. A particular graphics renderer string implies a class of hardware, which implies plausible screen resolutions, which implies an operating system, which implies a particular font set, which implies a plausible set of media devices. Randomise these independently and you produce a device that could not exist.

And a device that could not exist is more suspicious than one shared with nine other accounts. Nobody else on the internet has that combination, because it is not a real computer. The tool intended to make you unremarkable has made you unique.

This is the entire quality axis in the category, and it is why the cheap end is genuinely worse rather than merely less featured. Maintaining a library of coherent fingerprint sets drawn from real devices, updated as browsers and hardware change, is an ongoing engineering cost. Generating random values is free.

The Pricing Axis Nobody Compares Correctly

This is the section that changes which tool you should buy, so it comes before the table.

The category prices on two entirely different bases, and almost no comparison acknowledges it.

Axis One: Profile Count

The conventional model. You pay for a number of profiles that may exist in your account. Multilogin, Dolphin Anty, GoLogin and AdsPower all work this way. Free tiers give you three to five; paid plans give you tens, hundreds or thousands.

Under this model, the profile is the unit of value, and how much you use each one is irrelevant. A hundred profiles you open once a month cost the same as a hundred you run continuously.

Axis Two: Concurrency and Time

Kameleo prices differently. Its free plan includes 100 cloud profiles and 3 team members — numbers that would be a mid-tier paid plan elsewhere — but limits you to 2 concurrent browsers and 300 minutes of browser usage.

Under this model, the running browser-minute is the unit of value. Profiles are close to free because storing configuration costs almost nothing; what costs money is executing browsers.

Why This Decides Your Purchase

The two models suit opposite usage shapes, and the gap is large.

Many profiles, each used briefly and occasionally. Checking on fifty accounts once a week for a few minutes each. Under profile-count pricing you need a fifty-profile plan and pay for all of them constantly. Under concurrency pricing you need very little — you are never running more than one or two at a time.

Few profiles, running constantly. Five accounts, each open all day. Under profile-count pricing this is the cheapest tier available. Under concurrency-and-minutes pricing it is expensive, because you are consuming browser-minutes continuously.

The ranking genuinely inverts between these two shapes, and neither pricing page tells you which one you are.

Work Out Your Shape First

Two numbers, before you look at a single vendor.

How many profiles do you need to exist? Total accounts under management.

How many need to run at the same time, for how long? Peak concurrency and rough daily hours.

If the first number is much larger than the second, concurrency pricing will be cheaper, often dramatically. If they are close — you run nearly everything you own, most of the time — profile-count pricing is the right model.

This takes five minutes and it eliminates most of the market before you have compared any features.

Reading the Table

Kameleo's free tier is not comparable to the others and that is the point. A hundred profiles against three to five looks like a landslide until you notice the 300-minute limit. For light, intermittent work across many accounts it genuinely is a landslide. For continuous use it runs out in an afternoon.

Multilogin is the value leader on profile count at small scale, with annual Pro tiers running $7.08 for 10 profiles, $12.42 for 20 and $19.17 for 50, and unlimited team members on its Business tiers — which is a real structural advantage for agencies, since per-seat charges elsewhere can double a bill.

Dolphin Anty has the sharpest cliff in the category. $10 a month covers up to 60 profiles, and the next tier is $89 for 100. If you need 65 profiles you are paying nearly nine times as much as someone needing 60. Sit just below that line and it is the cheapest serious option available; sit just above it and it is among the most expensive.

GoLogin starts higher at $24 but includes 100 profiles, which makes it the best value at exactly that number and poor value at ten.

AdsPower's free forever tier is two profiles, and its paid rates were not displayed on the pricing page we retrieved — the page defaults to annual billing with a discount promotion. Ask for the monthly figure explicitly.

A free tier of three to five profiles is the category norm. If you need five accounts or fewer, this entire market is free and the decision is which interface you prefer.

The Linux and Docker Question

Most of this category ships desktop applications for Windows and macOS. That rules it out for server-side automation, which is a real limitation and rarely prominent in the marketing.

Kameleo is the notable exception, publishing official Docker images for Linux and Windows. If your work runs on servers rather than desktops, that narrows the field considerably before any other consideration — check current platform support for anything else you are considering rather than assuming.

Fingerprint Quality: What Separates Good From Bad

The hardest thing to assess and the thing you are actually paying for.

Engine-Level Versus Injected

There are two ways to change what a browser reports, and they are not equally convincing.

Injection overrides values from JavaScript running inside the page context — redefining properties so that a script asking for the screen size gets a different answer. It works against straightforward checks. It is also detectable, because an overridden property can behave subtly differently from a native one under sufficiently determined inspection.

Engine-level masking modifies the browser build itself, so the values are what the browser genuinely reports rather than what a script has been persuaded to say. Kameleo describes this approach explicitly, shipping custom browser builds — Chroma and Junglefox — that present as Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari profiles.

The second approach is substantially more work to build and maintain, which is why it correlates with the more expensive end of the market.

What to Actually Test

Every vendor here has a free tier. Before paying, test these specifically.

Coherence, not uniqueness. Run a profile through a browser fingerprinting test page. Do not look for a "you are not unique" verdict — you will be unique and that is expected of real users too. Look for internal contradictions: a graphics renderer that does not match the claimed operating system, a font set that could not exist on that platform, a time zone that disagrees with the proxy country.

Consistency across restarts. Close a profile, reopen it, check that the fingerprint has not shifted. A profile whose hardware changes between sessions is a device that got rebuilt overnight, which is not how computers behave.

Your actual target. Category performance is meaningless. Create one profile, attach the proxy you intend to use, and see how the specific platform you care about responds.

Resource consumption at your real concurrency. Every open profile is a full browser instance. Ten open profiles is ten browsers, and a machine with modest memory will struggle badly. Test the number you plan to run, not one.

The Honest Caveat

This is an adversarial field, and both sides update continuously. A tool that performs well against a platform today may not in six months, and no vendor can reasonably promise otherwise. Treat any claim of being undetectable as marketing rather than a technical statement — it is not a property software can have against an opponent that keeps changing.

The Automation Question

If you are driving profiles programmatically rather than clicking through them, this becomes the deciding factor, and it varies wildly across the category in ways the feature lists conceal.

What Good Looks Like

A local API that starts a profile and returns a connection endpoint. You launch a profile, get back a debugging port or WebSocket address, and attach your automation framework to it. Simple, well documented, and it means you are not locked into anybody's scripting language.

Standard framework support. Selenium, Puppeteer and Playwright are the ecosystem. A tool that works with all three is one you can leave; a tool with only a proprietary scripting environment is one you cannot.

This takes about an hour and it eliminates half the market. API documentation quality in this category ranges from genuinely good to a forum post from 2023, and no pricing page distinguishes between them.

The No-Code Layers

Several vendors now advertise no-code or natural-language automation builders. These are genuinely useful for repetitive manual work — the same sequence across forty accounts — and they are not a substitute for an API when you need error handling, retries, conditional logic or integration with anything else.

If your work is repetitive and simple, the no-code layer may be the whole reason to pick one tool over another. If it is not, evaluate the API and treat the no-code builder as irrelevant.

The Proxy Half of the Setup

We sell this half, so weigh it accordingly. The rule in it matters more than the product.

An antidetect browser controls what a page can measure about the device. It does not control where the traffic comes from. Run ten profiles presenting ten different machines in six countries, all connecting from one address, and the isolation is worthless — the network layer linked them before the fingerprinting was consulted.

Match the Proxy Type to the Work

Static residential or ISP addresses for account work. One address per profile, held over time. An account that appears from the same address every day looks like a person with a home connection. Ours are $1.25 per IP.

Rotating residential for research and geographic checking. Many addresses, no persistent identity, billed by bandwidth from $0.79/GB with 1 TB free for new accounts.

Mobile where the target treats carrier addresses more leniently, which some platforms do and most do not. Most expensive; only worth it where the distinction is real.

Datacenter is the wrong choice for account work on any platform that checks. Cheap at $0.14/GB and visibly hosting-company addresses. Fine for scraping unprotected sites (pricing).

The Rule That Matters More Than the Product

Everything must agree. Proxy country, profile time zone, profile language, and the account's own history should tell a single consistent story.

A German proxy with an American time zone is a contradiction no amount of fingerprint quality repairs, and it is the most common self-inflicted failure in this category. An inconsistent setup is more detectable than no setup at all, for the same reason an impossible fingerprint is worse than a shared one.

One proxy per profile. Never shared. A shared address is a direct link between the accounts using it — the precise thing the antidetect browser was purchased to prevent.

And the Cost Nobody Budgets

Ten profiles on ISP addresses is roughly $12.50 a month on top of the subscription. At entry-tier software prices, the proxy layer roughly doubles the cost of the system. Budgeting for the subscription alone budgets for half a setup, and the missing half is the half that determines whether it works.

What These Tools Cannot Do

Stated plainly, because the gap between what is sold and what is delivered is where the money is lost.

They do not address behaviour. Posting patterns, typing rhythm, mouse movement, engagement that does not look human, ten accounts performing the same action within the same minute. This is what actually gets most accounts banned, and no fingerprint work touches it. A great deal of money is spent in this category by people whose problem is behavioural.

They do not defeat verification. Phone numbers, identity documents, payment method matching, address checks. The moment a platform asks for a phone number, the technical conversation is over.

They do not survive platform-side correlation you cannot see. Shared payment methods, shared recovery emails, shared devices at any point in an account's history, patterns in account creation timing. Platforms correlate on data you do not have visibility into.

They do not make multi-accounting permitted. It is prohibited on most major platforms. The tool changes what can be observed; it does not change what you agreed to, and enforcement can arrive long after the fact — sometimes taking an account balance with it.

They do not stay ahead permanently. Detection improves continuously and quietly. Working today is not a durable property.

They do not run everywhere. Most are Windows and macOS desktop applications. Check platform support against your actual environment before subscribing.

They are not privacy tools. They separate identities from one another. The vendor typically sees a great deal about your usage, and profile data including cookies and session tokens frequently syncs to their cloud.

Who Should Not Buy One

Against our own interest and against the article's topic.

You need five accounts or fewer. Multilogin and Dolphin Anty both give five profiles free, GoLogin gives three, Kameleo gives a hundred with a time limit. Below that threshold this whole category is free, and below two or three accounts, Chrome profiles handle it with no software at all.

Your platform does not correlate aggressively. Many services genuinely do not care how many accounts you hold. Establish that you have the problem before buying the solution.

You are automating with no human in the loop. A headless browser with a stealth configuration plus proxies is more flexible, more scriptable and usually cheaper. This category exists largely to make manual multi-account work practical.

Your accounts are failing on behaviour. Better fingerprinting will not save them, and this purchase is an expensive way to avoid diagnosing the actual cause.

You are on Linux and have not checked platform support. Most of the category will not run for you at all.

A ban would genuinely hurt. A primary business account, anything holding real money, anything you cannot rebuild. No tool here offers a guarantee worth relying on, and the honest advice is to comply with the platform's rules rather than buy better infrastructure for breaking them.

You expected anonymity. These tools separate identities from each other. They are not privacy software and they do not hide you from the vendor.

Who Should

Agencies managing genuinely separate client accounts, where isolation is operational hygiene. E-commerce sellers with storefronts across marketplaces and regions. Researchers and QA teams checking how sites behave for different users and locations. Anyone whose work involves many accounts they are entitled to hold, where accidental device correlation causes real problems.

The distinction that matters is whether isolation is solving a legitimate operational problem or working around a rule. The software behaves identically either way; the consequences do not.
