The fingerprint layer solves one specific problem — device correlation — and it solves it reasonably well. What Hidemium Actually Is
A browser that pretends to be many browsers.
When you open an ordinary browser, the site you visit can read a great deal about the machine underneath: screen resolution, operating system, installed fonts, graphics hardware, time zone, language, how the browser renders a canvas element, what audio processing produces. That combination is stable enough and varied enough to act as an identifier, which is why it is called a fingerprint.
Open ten accounts from one browser and they share one fingerprint. A platform that notices this can conclude, correctly, that one person controls all ten. Incognito windows do not help — they clear cookies, not hardware characteristics.
An antidetect browser gives each profile its own set of those values, and keeps each profile's cookies, storage and cache completely separate. According to Hidemium's documentation, a profile lets you configure "IP address, User-agent, proxy, cookies, time zone, language, media device, hardware, and more" — so that each one presents as a different computer in a different place.
Who Uses These Tools
Hidemium's own documentation names its target platforms: e-commerce marketplaces including Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, eBay and Etsy, social networks including Facebook, Google, TikTok and Instagram, and electronic payment systems.
That list tells you the honest picture of the category. In practice the users break down roughly into:
Agencies managing client accounts. Running ad accounts or social profiles for many clients from one office, where keeping them isolated is genuinely operational hygiene rather than evasion.
E-commerce sellers with multiple storefronts across marketplaces, often in different countries.
Affiliate marketers, who work at volume and where account loss is a routine business cost.
Researchers and QA teams who need to see how a site behaves for different user profiles or regions.
People running multiple accounts on platforms that forbid it. This is a real and large part of the market. Whether it applies to you is your call, but the terms of service exist and the enforcement is real.
How Antidetect Browsers Work
The mechanism is worth understanding because it explains precisely where the protection stops.
Spoofing Versus Isolation
Two separate things happen in every profile.
Isolation is the unglamorous part and it is the part that works reliably. Each profile gets its own cookie jar, local storage, session storage, cache and IndexedDB. Nothing leaks between them. This is genuine and it is not hard — ordinary browsers do a weaker version with profiles and containers.
Spoofing is the marketed part. The browser reports different values for user agent, screen dimensions, hardware concurrency, device memory, time zone, language, WebGL renderer strings, canvas output and audio characteristics. The quality of an antidetect browser is essentially how convincingly it does this.
Why Convincing Is Hard
The difficulty is not producing different values. It is producing a coherent set of them.
A real machine's characteristics correlate. A specific graphics renderer implies a class of hardware, which implies plausible screen sizes, which implies an operating system, which implies certain fonts. Randomise these independently and you produce a device that could not exist — and a device that could not exist is more suspicious than a device shared with nine other accounts.
The better tools in this category work by using coherent fingerprint sets drawn from real devices rather than random values. This is also why the free and cheap end of the market is genuinely worse: it costs money to maintain a library of realistic profiles as browsers and hardware change.
Where the Browser's Job Ends
And here is the boundary that most reviews of this category skip.
The browser controls what the page can measure about the device. It does not control where the traffic comes from. If ten profiles present ten different devices in six countries and all ten connect from the same address, the isolation is worthless — the network layer has already linked them.
Worse, it can actively backfire. A profile claiming a Berlin time zone and German language, connecting from a residential address in Ohio, is a contradiction that ordinary users do not produce. An inconsistent setup is more detectable than no setup at all.
This is why proxies are not an optional add-on to an antidetect browser. They are the other half of the same mechanism, and they have to agree with it.
What Hidemium Offers
From the vendor's own documentation and product pages, the feature set covers the standard expectations of the category plus a few things worth noting.
Per-profile fingerprint control. IP address, user agent, proxy, cookies, time zone, language, media devices and hardware parameters are all configurable per profile, per the official documentation.
Proxy assignment per profile. Each profile can be bound to its own proxy, which is the arrangement you want. Anything that shares one proxy across many profiles defeats the purpose.
Team and profile sharing. Profiles can be shared between team members, with seats charged per user. For agencies this is often the deciding feature rather than the fingerprinting quality — handing an account to a colleague without handing over a password is genuinely useful.
Automation. Hidemium advertises a no-code automation layer alongside a scripting API with support for the standard browser automation frameworks. If you are driving profiles programmatically rather than clicking through them, this is the part to evaluate first, because API quality varies wildly across this category and the marketing copy never reveals it.
Windows and macOS support. Note what is not there: no Linux client is advertised, which rules it out for a good number of server-side workflows. This is common across the category and worth checking against your setup before paying.
What to Test Before Paying
Every serious vendor here has a free tier. Use it, and test these specifically:
Fingerprint coherence. Open a profile and run it through a browser fingerprinting test page. Look for internal contradictions rather than for a "unique" verdict — uniqueness is expected and fine; impossible combinations are the problem.
Your actual target platform. Category performance is meaningless. Create one profile, connect the proxy you intend to use, and see how the site you care about behaves.
The API, if you need one. Write the twenty lines that launch a profile and drive it. This takes an hour and eliminates half the market.
Resource use. These browsers are Chromium instances. Ten profiles open is ten Chromium instances, and machines with modest memory struggle badly. Test the number you actually plan to run at once.
What It Costs to Run Properly
The subscription is the smaller number. This is the part nobody models before buying.
The Software
Hidemium advertises a free tier limited to a small number of profiles, with paid plans starting in the mid-teens per month and rising into the hundreds for business volumes, plus a charge per additional team seat. As noted up front, we could not load Hidemium's pricing page to confirm current figures — check hidemium.io directly before budgeting, and treat any price you read in a third-party review, including this one, as out of date by default.
The Proxies
Here is what actually changes the total. Assume ten profiles used for account work.
For account-based work you generally want stable addresses rather than rotating ones — an account that appears from a different city every session looks worse, not better. That points at static residential or ISP addresses, priced per IP.

If your work is rotating rather than sticky — research, scraping, checking how a page renders in different regions — bandwidth pricing applies instead. Residential runs from $0.79/GB, dropping to $0.50/GB above 100 GB and $0.27/GB above 1 TB, with 1 TB free for new accounts. Ordinary browsing is roughly 0.5–2 GB per profile per month, so ten profiles of light use is often under $10 (current pricing).
The proxy layer therefore roughly doubles the entry-level cost of the software. Anyone who budgets for the subscription alone is budgeting for half a system, and the half they left out is the half that determines whether it works.
The Hidden Third Cost
Time. Setting up profiles properly — matching time zone to proxy country, matching language to region, warming accounts gradually — takes real hours. Teams that skip it because the software "handles fingerprinting" are the ones who lose accounts and blame the tool.

Reading the Table
A free tier of five profiles is table stakes, not a differentiator. Multilogin and Dolphin Anty both give five; GoLogin gives three. If you need five accounts or fewer, this entire category is free and the buying decision is which interface you prefer.
The pricing curves are shaped very differently. Dolphin Anty jumps from $10 for 60 profiles to $89 for 100 — a cliff that punishes anyone landing just above 60. Multilogin's annual Pro tiers climb gently from $7.08 to $19.17 across 10 to 50 profiles. GoLogin starts higher at $24 but includes 100 profiles at that price. The cheapest tool depends entirely on your profile count, and the ranking reorders several times across the range. Work out your number first, then compare; comparing entry prices tells you almost nothing.
Team seats are where agency costs hide. Several vendors charge per additional user, and at $10–$25 per seat a five-person team can double the bill. Multilogin's unlimited seats on Business tiers is a genuine structural difference rather than a feature-list line.
The free option deserves a fair hearing. Chrome profiles and Firefox Multi-Account Containers give you complete cookie and storage isolation for nothing. What they do not give you is fingerprint spoofing — every profile reports the same hardware. For a handful of accounts on platforms that do not aggressively correlate devices, that is frequently enough, and a great many people buy an antidetect subscription they did not need.
The Proxy Half of the Setup
We sell this half, so here is the part where we are least neutral — stated as plainly as we can manage.
Match the Proxy Type to the Job
Static residential or ISP addresses for account work. One address per profile, held over time. An account that logs in from the same address every day looks like a person with a home; one that appears from three countries a week looks like exactly what it is. Ours are $1.25/IP.
Rotating residential for research, scraping and checking regional content. Many addresses, no persistent identity, priced by bandwidth from $0.79/GB.
Mobile proxies where the target platform treats mobile carrier addresses more leniently, which some social platforms do. They are the most expensive option and only worth it when the target genuinely distinguishes.
Datacenter addresses are the wrong choice for account work on any platform that checks. They are cheap — ours are $0.14/GB — and visibly belong to hosting providers. Fine for scraping unprotected sites, poor for looking like a person.
The Rule That Matters More Than the Product
Everything must agree. Proxy country, profile time zone, profile language and account history should tell one consistent story. A German proxy with an American time zone is a contradiction that no amount of fingerprint spoofing repairs, and it is the single most common self-inflicted failure in this category.
One proxy per profile. Never share. A shared address is a direct link between the accounts using it, which is the exact thing you paid the antidetect browser to prevent.
And the Honest Limit
Proxies and antidetect browsers together handle device correlation and network correlation. They do not handle behavioural signals, and behaviour is what actually gets most accounts banned. Posting patterns, typing rhythm, engagement that does not look human, ten accounts doing the same thing within the same minute. No infrastructure purchase fixes any of that, and a great deal of money is spent by people trying.
Where Antidetect Browsers Fall Short
Specific limitations, none of which are unique to Hidemium.
Detection improves continuously. This is an adversarial field. Platforms invest heavily and update quietly. A tool that works today may not in six months, and no vendor can promise otherwise — which is why claims of being "undetectable" should be read as marketing rather than a technical statement.
Resource consumption is significant. Every open profile is a full Chromium instance. Twenty profiles will consume a great deal of memory and a machine with 8 GB will suffer. Check this against your hardware, not against the vendor's minimum specification.
Platform verification defeats everything. Phone verification, ID checks, payment method matching, address verification — none of these are fingerprint problems. A platform that asks for a phone number ends the technical conversation entirely.
Behaviour is unaddressed. Covered above, and it bears repeating because it is where the losses actually come from.
Terms of service still apply. Multi-accounting is prohibited on most major platforms. The tool changes what they can detect; it does not change what you agreed to, and enforcement can arrive long after the fact, sometimes taking a payment balance with it.
No Linux client. For anyone running automation on servers rather than desktops, this rules the tool out. Check your environment before subscribing.
Vendor risk. You are entrusting profile data, cookies and session tokens to a third party's software and often its cloud sync. That is a meaningful amount of trust in a market with limited transparency, and it is worth thinking about explicitly.

You need five accounts or fewer. Multilogin and Dolphin Anty both give five profiles free, GoLogin gives three, and Chrome profiles give unlimited isolation for nothing. Paying at this scale is buying a subscription for something you already have.
Your accounts are on platforms that do not correlate hard. Plenty of services genuinely do not care how many accounts you hold. Check whether you have a problem before buying a solution to it.
You are automating rather than browsing. If nothing needs a human interface, a headless browser with a stealth configuration plus proxies is more flexible, more scriptable and usually cheaper. The antidetect category exists largely to make manual multi-account work practical.
Your problem is behaviour, not fingerprint. If accounts are being banned for what they do, better fingerprinting will not save them. Diagnose before spending, because this purchase is a very expensive way to not fix that.
You are on Linux. No client, no purchase.
You cannot afford to lose the accounts. If a ban would be genuinely damaging — a primary business account, anything holding real money — then no tool in this category offers a guarantee worth relying on. The honest advice is to comply with the platform's rules rather than to buy better infrastructure for breaking them.
You expected it to make you anonymous. Antidetect browsers separate identities from each other. They are not privacy tools, and the vendor can typically see a great deal about your usage.

Decide how many profiles you need, then compare at that number. Comparing entry prices produces the wrong answer most of the time.
Before any of that, check whether you need to buy at all. Five profiles is free from more than one vendor, and if you need fewer than that, ordinary browser profiles give you the isolation for nothing. A substantial share of subscriptions in this category are bought by people who never exceed the free tier.
